Are you soloing?
If so, 1 antifire potion and an anti-dragonbreath shield, bring a super antipoison potion and the rest of your inventory should be sharks. use range with ruby (e) bolts for the first half of its life and diamond (e) for the second half. if you can bring a terrorbird or other carrying familiar then do so, because there is an obelisk inside of the lair. praying magic does nothing against kbd, but one strategy you can use to reduce damage taken is to pray melee and get close enough to allow it to melee you.
